Flip de Fluiter (Flip the Wishperer

The man who's playing the harmonica is Flip "de Fluiter". This was a striking character and Flip made a living by playing songs for money. He usually went in front of a sidewalk cafe, played some songs and then shouted: "Everybode 5 cents" The people at the sidewalk cafe then gave him some money. Flip also helped another striking character with the nickname crazy Willem. Crazy Willem collected paper.

Flip was scaring the pretty ladies in The Hague, because when he passes a nice lady, he suddenly showed his tongue or shouted "Boe".

Bataafse Import Maatschappij

The oil company "Bataafse Import Maatschappij" was named at the Dutch provence "Batavie" in Indonesia. The name of this company later changed into Royal Shell
