Day trip
With some other students of  Study Travel I made a day trip. We used our regular driver, but on some bad roads w used another cab. We payed 15 euro per persone (4 persons) in total.  It's reamrkable that the roads are so quit. You see some people walking, or aiting for a busstop, or you drive behind farmers with cows, but you don't see cars. The country is very green and furtile. During our trip we also visited a fram. It was a simple wooden building. The bathroom was a seperated wooden place, where you could wash yourself with a wastub. When you like biological food, this farm is heaven. Chickens are walking freely. After the farm we also visited a botanicasl garden. I did see many  flowers and I also saw a colibri (The smallest bird on earth). This bird however was to quick to take a picture of. I also sa an ananas , so I now know it doesn't grow on a tree. Next visit was El Morro

El Morro
El Morro has been build by the Spanish on a strategic place: the begin of the bay of Santiago de Cuba. From this castle you can control the entire bay of Santiago de Cuba. The vieuw is very nice.

Visit to an island
After El Morro we went with a ferry to an island. The island (I forgot the name) was famouse for the many fish restaurants. There where many beautiful colonial houses, but like in  Santiago de Cuba these buildings could use some paint. The island was very nice. On the other side a did see the most leaning house I ever saw. After the visit of the island we returned to Santiago de Cuba.
