Background information:

My name is Guus von Scheven and I'm born in the Hague (Den Haag, a city in Holland) November 20 1964.I've lived in the Hague till my 7the and then we moved to Gouda. When I was 12 we moved again towards Veldhoven. (These are all cities in Holland)

I have followed High Scool and I'm now an engineer. (In Holland there're two kind of engineers; engineers from a High Technique School, or from University). The first ones have the title ing; the other ones have the title ir; but both are pronounced as engineer. I'm an ing engineer.

After school it was hard to get a job, but thanks of the agency  ("P & S") I got a temporary job at the insurance company Vie d'Or. After one year they offered me a steady job. Vie d'Or is one of the 2 life-insurance companies in Holland that went bankrupt after the second world war. Levob verzekeringen, another insurance company took the policies and personel; of Vie d 'Or. After one year of going to my work by train, I moved to Amersfoort.

After 6 years at Levob, I didn't like my job anymore an decided to become a software engineer. I followed  CBT lessons (computer based training)  and after 4 months I had learned the basics of the software language Visual Basic. I then started at a software company Softhouse Automatisering BV.  Unfortunately they did not offer me a steady job because of the recesion. After that I did have some temporary jobs, but it has also ended.

Guus unemployed.

At the moment I'm unemployed.  That doesn't mean I don't work: I use my spare time for this website (I didn't know anything from internet when I started.) I'm also a volonteer at an AZC (centre of asylum). I teach Dutch twice a week and I'm also twice a week in  the computerroom. I help people with language programs and I made a small language program myself.


How do I look?

Although I have a lot of photo's, I don't have many photo's of myself. I only saw this photo on my passport which is not really pretty.
You can see that I'm too fat. I don't ware glasses and I also have my own teeth. My condition is the same as when I was 20. (I never had a good condition)

Women, I'm single! (But I don't think that will change, when I put these kind of pictures of myself on the web.)



Hobby

I play badminton and poule every week. I also like working at the pc and I like to watch t.v.  But most of all I like holiday's in foreign countries.

I don't like doing the household and I'm not a type that likes going out in bars. (maybe an internet cafe in a foreign country)
